We’re delighted the garden will continue to raise awareness of Parkinson’s as well as provide respite and refuge to all who visit.
Our extraordinary journey through the #RHSChelsea Flower Show has been made possible by our garden sponsors, @ProjGivingBack. Thank you. 🌹
From reaching millions to raise important awareness of Parkinson’s to winning the People’s Choice Award, the Parkinson’s UK - A Garden for Every Parkinson’s Journey will not be forgotten. Important work is now underway for the relocation to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Great question! A useful starting estimate for many adults is around 30ml of fluid per kg of body weight per day — before extra heat, sweating, exercise or alcohol are added. That means:
• 60kg adult may need approx 1.8l/day
• 70kg adult approx 2.1l
• & 80kg adult approx 2.4l
& that’s before adding more for:
• hot weather
• sweating
• exercise
• sun exposure
• alcohol
• salty foods
• or long periods outdoors
Perhaps a great overlooked summer health messages is this:
Healthy skin protection may begin not only with sunscreen…
but with hydration.
🌿 Environ-MENTAL Health
Much of what we now label as mental or neurological difficulty may be better understood as a human nervous system responding to environments that have become too fast, too loud, too dense — and too disconnected from nature.
Ketogenic diet therapies are validated methods for putting type 2 diabetes into remission. There is now a CME course available for healthcare professionals who wish to learn more about this:

If I had to take Parkinson’s to gain understanding of so many valuable life elements, such as fear, I think I’d sign that deal.

Funny thing is, I’m studying Occupational Psychology at the moment. It’s exactly the kind of question we might explore - how do you help people become aware of what’s happening beyond consciousness at work?
Interesting to read the negativity being shared.
Many people often speak of looking “at the bottom line”. Well, what see is this from @CMO_England
“It shows we need to rethink many aspects of training.”
Surely that’s where we need to start from & rebuild it #collaboratively.
