PMC has invited public suggestions & objections to add Cycle Plan to Pune's Development Plan. Pl send a support letter like this tinyurl.com/cycleplanletter to punecycleplan@gmail.com. Added to DP, it'll be legally binding to provide cycle tracks, cycle parking, cycle rent service!
ALT Pune Municipal Corporation's public notice to add the Pune Cycle Plan to the Development Plan of Pune. The comprehensive bicycle plan, maps of the cycle network, cycle parking locations are available for public viewing at the Development Plan Cell, Room number 310, 3rd floor, Pune Municipal Corporation main building, Shivaji Nagar, Pune and available on the PMC's website https://www.pmc.gov.in/en/gb-cycle-plan Suggestions and objections may be sent to PMC before 27 August 2022. PMC will later submit its proposal to the Maharashtra state government for a modification to the Development Plan.

Integrating cycling into city and transport planning is key. Along with city-wide cycling infrastructure, policies to reduce vehicle use (with high parking fees), reducing speeds, etc. Cities like #Pune have made @CyclePlanPune and set-up a Cycle Department #BringBackCycles
