Secretary Mullin seems to have a false idea of what a "sanctuary" policy is.
No local government says DHS "can't go operate" in their cities. Instead, they won't use their own local resources to assist ICE. The federal government is free to do whatever it wants — unassisted.

By passing this extreme $70B immigration bill, @HouseGOP caved to Trump yet again. In the last year and a half alone, Republicans have unilaterally given Trump’s lawless DHS nearly a quarter TRILLION dollars with no restrictions, guardrails or oversight.
@HouseDemocrats asked for basic safeguards to ensure transparency, oversight, and accountability of ICE’s inhumane, lawless actions.
