When I told my mum and aunties about what's happening, they said: "But they won't listen to us." Thank you for highlighting the disproportionate impact of LTNs on ethnic communities & the lack of consultation w/them. @BillParryDavies and legal team @horrendoushack1

SEJ fully supports a truly independent review of LTNs. What needs assessing includes: What benefits? Who benefits? What are the “dis-benefits”. Who is most negatively impacted? Impact of⬆️congestion on health & efforts to fight climate change? Need detailed EqIA and much more.

This is Green Lanes on 21st September 2021…. The data cables are on the floor … @EnfieldCouncil stated there was up to a 46% decrease here in congestion. None of these vehicles would of been counted if traveling under 10 kmph ….. That’s how you get evaporation…

Don't forget the by-election for De Beauvoir ward today! Vote for someone who is already making a difference in the community and will actually represent you. Vote for Kelly.
Good morning Twitter 😁. I would like to thank in advance all those who have supported and encouraged me to do what I see as my part , to support those who live in De Beauvoir. To sincerely make sure there voices are heard@hackneyindepen1

Hi. Are you willing to join with other clean air activists in the borough who want to protect all children? Or do you just think that certain children need protecting? We would be more powerful together. Do get in touch. Message me. @TogetherHackney

After a hiatus after the birth of my wonderful daughter and other matters, I will be focusing on completing my book on the gentrification of #Hackney in 2022! I would like to chat to everyone in the area who has encountered and been directly affected by gentrification.
Yesterday I took some pictures in my old area of South Hackney (especially Kingshold Estate) as part of my research into #Hackney post-war estates. Here's me and my friends on the corner of Well Street back in 2003 and here's me in the same spot in 2020.

Help for struggling parents with the rising cost of living is coming to Hackney. Hackney Baby Bank will, from the end of May, supply children’s equipment like clothes, shoes, cots, nappies, toiletries, buggies, and toys to families needing extra support. hackneygazette.co.uk/news/ba…

I give permission for my videos to be used as evidence in the prosecution of Cllrs and Enfield Council after my death.I felt unwell yesterday after more pollution pumped onto us.I believe I will have a heart attack soon due to negligence by Cllrs who are pushing more poison here.

In addition, invest in towns and cities outside of London, which will stop huge and unsustainable population increase in London whilst other areas of England are being run down... Less people means less cars, hence less traffic.

Lets be honest about who’s voting in this election. Of course NIMBYS are out voting. Thats why its nicknamed in our community Clean Air for votes. In HG, residents that were severely impacted by LTN refused to take part in consultation as they rightly concluded it was a done deal
ELECTION NEWS: Wandsworth council that recklessly ripped out LTNs and have fought 🚲 lanes, against the advice of local hospitals,…… a historic Tory Loss. THREAD

The fools are out today insisting LTNs are popular that’s why they won & nothing to do with government errors. They may gloat right now but majority failed to vote due to their hurt with what’s going on in central government. Next time they won’t stand a chance

Today we vote for candidates who will try & make things better for local residents. If you think Hackney’s one party mini state needs independent scrutiny then consider these Independent candidates

Waltham Forest 3 yrs on, traffic still higher on boundary roads. 6 months is also the time it takes for genetic change from increased pollutants to develop life changing asthma in children. Labour backed this. @AirCroxted @ChitchClaire @DulwichCleanAir @RoseCllr @kieronjwilliams

Three years old at that point. How long do we wait? People were told 3 months, then 6 months, then 18 months. Traffic on boundary roads is still higher. @EllaRobertaFdn told me 6 months of increase exposure could be enough to kill.
