When asked “on what grounds are you justified,” @Alex_Ortodoxie answers, “..baptism, faith, mercy, all of these things are different aspects of participation in the divine life.”
@MethodMinistry responds by pointing out that Alex didn’t mention the atonement or Christ’s work at all. 🔥

I was in a Bible study group with my church a few months back, and in the very first class the leader of the group had everybody go around and share their testimony. Over half the class were former Roman Catholics, most of which said they had never heard the gospel message until after they had left the Roman church.
This is a damning indictment of Roman Catholicism, the so-called “One True Church.”
Leave Rome and come home to Jesus, is the takeaway.

Just talked with another ex-Catholic tonight who was born & raised in the RCC but got saved at 40 hearing the Gospel for the first time from a Protestant.
This is a common theme because the majority of Roman churches don’t preach or have the Gospel.
