The fabulous thing about social media is that you make real connections with people and their lives. Which means you also share in their sorrows. I feel for all of those folks. But the celebrations and the chance to console are worth it.

Willis Carrier should be sainted by now.
The South is like a warm blanket knitted by your grandmother. And most of the year that means it's cozy, but for the next two to three months its suffocating. You just want to get out from under it, but you're stuck in the soup. God bless Willis Carrier.

Today, the Russians again struck the special territory around the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. A “shahed” hit one of the buildings of the Centralized Spent Fuel Storage Facility. An extremely critical infrastructure facility – and an extremely vile Russian strike. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy, and all our services are already working to ensure that each of our partners knows what has happened. Russia deliberately struck this particular nuclear infrastructure facility. As of now, there are no readings exceeding normal background radiation levels. But there is certainly an increase in Russia’s brazenness, which long ago went off the charts. Ukrainian first responders extinguished the fire at this facility after the strike. And real new steps by the world are needed so that the Russians feel that this terrorist war of theirs is a blow to Russia itself. Last night, there were also Russian strikes on other civilian facilities in 13 of our regions. In total, over the course of this past week, Russia launched 88 missiles, more than 3,250 attack drones, and around 1,800 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine. Pressure on Russia must be increased. Thank you to everyone who’s helping!

Today is the 82nd anniversary of D-Day – the Allied landings in Normandy, which significantly hastened the countdown to the Nazis' collapse in World War II. It is one of the most important moments of unity among the defenders of life in human history, and it was less than a year until the peoples’ aspiration for freedom and the hope of peace prevailed in May 1945. It happened then. We are working to make it happen again today. And although yesterday in Petersburg another cynical order to continue killing was issued for the army trying to destroy our freedom, history has seen this before. The Nazis also had their own hopes after D-Day. But freedom still wins. And even in the darkest circumstances, people find ways to come together to protect life. I thank all those who are now helping to protect the values that prevailed in World War II. I thank everyone who is defending life. Glory to Ukraine!

I was a U.S. Naval Intelligence Officer, I served proudly in Afghanistan, and I’ve dealt with the Intelligence Community. I can say with confidence that Bill Pulte’s lack of experience is dangerous for our national security. Congress must push back and prevent an inexperienced loyalist from becoming the next Director of National Intelligence.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has stalled so Putin bombs Ukrainian cities every night. The President’s negotiations have failed & we’ve done little to help Ukraine defend itself over the last year and a half. The time to act is now. Sending defensive weapons also tells Putin he cannot win. Weakness incites him to continue the war. nebraskaexaminer.com/2026/06…
