What’s crazy about SpaceX is that for the first 6 years of the company, they didn’t raise a single dollar. It was completely self-funded by Elon ($100m) Their first investment was $20m at $420m by FF in 2008. In 2010, they raised another $10m, this time at $530m 10 years in, they had taken in $1b, but only $200m of that was dilutive, the rest came from NASA contracts Incredible capital efficiency and a big reason as to why Elon was able to retain so much equity

Four days after going public, SpaceX used its brand new stock to buy a $60 billion company that has never built a rocket. Cursor writes code. The internet thinks Elon overpaid for a text editor. It is missing what actually changed hands. Cursor is not an editor. It is the layer where software actually gets made. It reads the codebase, proposes the change, runs the test, opens the pull request, and learns from every edit a human accepts or rejects. More than a million engineers already work inside it, and it pulls in about $2.6 billion a year doing it. He already owned most of the stack. SpaceX has the compute. It folded xAI in back in February, so it has the models. It has rockets, satellites, factories, and a robot program, all of them running on software. The one piece missing was the place where that software gets written. Now he owns that too. Coding is the perfect school for an AI, because the grade is objective. The test passes or it fails. The build compiles or it breaks. Every developer working in Cursor is teaching Grok how to engineer without meaning to, and that feedback loop is the real asset. The editor is just where it lives. Mars is downstream of this, not the reason for it. Nobody is letting an AI push flight code to a rocket unsupervised. The bottleneck to building anything at planetary scale was never the rocket. It was engineering throughput across ten thousand software systems, and Cursor is the multiplier on all of them. The whole bet rests on one choice. Keep Cursor open to every model and let Grok earn its place, and it is the smartest thing Musk has bought in a decade. Force Grok in before it is the best, and the trust that makes Cursor worth $60 billion walks straight out the door. The editor was never the point. He bought the machine that turns intent into working software, for every machine the empire builds next. The piece works out what he builds with it. Congrats Legend!

A fantastic write-up. Let me add a few more things: Europe invented the "Nation-State" in 1648 (Treaty of Westphalia) to stop Christians from killing each other over minor theological differences. It assumes a nation must have fixed borders, 1 dominant language & a homogenous group of people. Bharat was never a Nation-State; it was a Sanskriti Pravaha (a continuous cultural flow) bound together by Chiti (the innate soul/consciousness of a society). When ancient texts define India, they do not define it by a political constitution; they define it by its sacred geography. The Vishnu Purana famously states: Uttaraṃ yatsamudrasya himādreścaiva dakṣiṇam varṣaṃ tadbhārataṃ nāma bhāratī yatra santatiḥ The land north of the ocean & south of the snowy mountains is called Bharatam & there dwell the descendants of Bharata. This identity existed 1000s of yrs before the Republic of India was registered as a modern legal entity in 1947. Therefore, arguing for a civilizational state is simply an honest data alignment (not a radical political rewrite). It is recognizing that the political apparatus (the State) must serve the ancient living entity (the Civilization), not the other way around. The primary fear of critics is that a Hindu State equals a theocracy like Iran/the Vatican. In ancient Indian statecraft texts like the Shanti Parva of the Mahabharata/Chanakya's Arthashastra, the king’s duty (Rajadharma) was never to enforce a specific mode of worship/a singular deity. The king's supreme duty was Dharma-raksha, which literally meant protecting the moral order, ensuring justice & maintaining the social fabric so that every individual could pursue their own path to liberation (Moksha). If we erase/shame/dilute that core Hindu framework into a blank, artificial, value-neutral "secularism," we destroy the very engine that generates pluralism in the 1st place. If the host tree dies, the entire garden collapses into sectarian tribalism.

Pinarayi visits to Mayo Clinic in America were directly paid by the Malayali taxpayer? If Kerala Govt pays for it, they should use Kerala Govt hospitals.
Isn't this Bourgeois Hegemony? A RTI reply confirmed medical expenses of Kerala legislators including Pinarayi Vijayan at ₹93.24 lakhs, K. Krishnankutty (~₹48.7 lakhs), V. Sivankutty (~₹33.5 lakhs) and even current CM V.D. Satheeshan (~₹6.5 lakhs) among the top claimants. And note: this is not insurance....its their hospital bills paid directly through the public exchequer. Why should a very personal matter like healthcare be funded by a government? Who ratified that kind of a norm?

🇮🇳 India looks increasingly similar to a developmental state. The developmental state is typically characterized by the state’s autonomy and capacity to mobilize long-term capital for industrial upgrading, combined with effective implementation of industrial policies. (1/n)

Qatar did the heavy lifting, after the earlier efforts didn’t yield results. Both Iran and US had developed trust issues. Pakistan hoped for Islamabad Accord. Instead it’s going to be in Switzerland, likely Geneva.
India is cautiously welcoming the Iran deal, but let’s be clear: this is a disaster for India. 1️⃣ This deal has elevated India’s arch-nemesis Pakistan to the level of global peacemaker. It undermines India’s efforts to call out Pakistan’s destabilizing behavior and support for terrorism by making Islamabad a byword for peacemaking. It also transforms Pakistan into a powerbroker and leader of the Global South at India’s expense. 2️⃣ The capitulation allows Iran to dominate India’s western trading gateway. Before the Iranian Axis launched the October 7 War, India was dreaming of building the IMEC trade corridor through the Gulf and Israel to Europe. It was meant to slash transit costs and turbocharge Indian manufacturing. An emboldened Iran with ballistic missiles and billions in sanctions relief imperils that vision. Iran receives a veto over any infrastructure project in a maritime zone it seeks to dominate. Critically, the deal emboldens Iran’s proxy armies by establishing the precedent that they are inviolable, and this will threaten shipping in the Indian Ocean and Red Sea. 3️⃣ This deal keeps nearly 10 million Indians in the shadow of Iran’s ballistic missiles and killer drones The Iranian attack on Kuwait’s airport killed an Indian and the attack on Fujeirah injured three. India needs the Iranian threat neutralized to safeguard its migrant workers and the essential remittances they send home. 4️⃣ The failure to resolve the nuclear issue, while surrendering US leverage, means India will continue to be threatened by an Iranian regime in league with Pakistan pursuing nuclear weapons. It will continue to attack Indian interests with impunity and sow chaos in West Asia, sabotaging the stability that India needs for long-term economic projects. A nuclear-threshold Iran leaves India permanently exposed. India’s approach of neutrality is unsustainable and jeopardizes its long-term interests. This disastrous deal must push it to reevaluate its geopolitical posture in a world in which Iran is dangerous and Pakistan is ascendant. Closer military and economic ties with Israel, similarly threatened by this news, is inevitable.

Elon Musk got rejected by Netscape. He walked into the lobby, was too shy to talk to anyone, and walked out. Never got the job. At his first company Zip2, the board demoted him. Twice. They refused to let him be CEO. He got fired from PayPal as CEO while flying to his own honeymoon. The board voted him out mid air. He almost died of malaria in 2000. Ten days in intensive care. Lost 45 pounds. A day from death. His first child died at 10 weeks old. His first rocket exploded. Falcon 1, flight one. Burned on the pad. His second rocket exploded. His third rocket exploded. The last of his money was nearly gone. Tesla nearly went bankrupt in 2008. The closest he ever came to a nervous breakdown. Both companies almost died on the same Christmas Eve. He was sued by investors. Mocked by the people who built cars before him. His childhood heroes, the astronauts who inspired him, testified against his company to Congress. The Cybertruck window shattered on live stage in front of the world. He overpaid for Twitter by his own admission and watched its value collapse. He was beaten unconscious as a child and thrown down a flight of stairs. He has said he goes to sleep alone and it kills him. He failed in public, over and over, for thirty years. He is the richest man in the history of the world. The difference was never the absence of failure. It was the refusal to stop after it.

*The Chinese Caste System* Every society has it thorughout the world. It's just that Indian one is acknowledged and widely talked about.
Jun 12
China's hukou system assigns rural/urban status at birth and restricts access to urban services. Migrant children without local Beijing hukou face major barriers to public schools there, often attending lower-quality options or returning to rural areas for exams. Top schools and university quotas strongly favor locals. Reforms have eased some compulsory education access since 2014, but elite urban advantages persist for the connected or wealthy. India's caste system is also birth-based, with historical discrimination. Laws ban untouchability and reservations aid lower castes in education and jobs, though social barriers remain. Hukou functions as a state-enforced geographic divide limiting mobility for rural poor—often likened to a modern caste. India's is deeper socially but has democratic correctives. The "more casteist" claim holds on rigid birth-tied opportunity gaps in China, but both systems show inherited disadvantage. Facts support the Beijing school point; full comparison is nuanced by metrics.

It's you leftists who are to blame. Over a $1 trillion of SpaceX valuation comes from a future "orbital data-center" business. That business is only viable because of the political opposition to terrestrial data-centers. The more you oppose data-centers, the more you repeat misinformation about tax-breaks and water, the richer you make @ElonMusk (pbuh).

France is replacing Windows with Linux on 2.5 million government computers. Most people have no idea this is happening. It all started when the US sanctioned the ICC prosecutor. He woke up locked out of his Microsoft email. Just like that. Europe realized your software vendor can be used as a weapon against you. France's response: → Windows out across all 2.5 million government machines. Linux in. → Microsoft Teams already replaced by a French open source alternative. → National health data migrating off American cloud to a sovereign French platform. → AI tools, databases, network equipment and antivirus all on the exit list. → Every ministry must submit a full migration plan by autumn 2026. The proof it works already exists inside France. The Gendarmerie has been running Linux on 103,000 police computers since 2008. Saves €2 million a year. Total ownership cost down 40%. France is not alone. Germany saved €15 million in 2026 alone after moving 30,000 PCs to Linux. Denmark dumped Microsoft Office entirely. A continental exodus from American tech is underway. The only question left is who controls the kill switch on yours. Full story here: thenextweb.com/news/france-l…

Ten years ago, Elon Musk and Jack Ma both looked like avatars of the future. Musk was building electric cars, rockets, satellites, and AI. Jack Ma was building Alibaba, the crown jewel of China’s internet economy. Fast forward a decade: Musk is worth $1.1 trillion. Jack Ma was forced into silence, Ant Group’s IPO was crushed, Alibaba lost its aura(its stock plunged by more than 60% since 2020), and China’s tech sector went from world-beating to politically domesticated. One entrepreneur was allowed to compound. The other was reminded who really owns the scoreboard. This is not just a story about two billionaires. It is a story about two systems. One system lets madmen build rockets to Mars. The other cuts down its most successful entrepreneur for flying too close to the sun. That is why Musk became the world’s first trillionaire. And Jack Ma became a warning label.
On June 12, 2026, SpaceX, Elon Musk’s flagship company, went public and its stock surged 19.2%, pushing the company’s market capitalization to $2.1 trillion. Musk’s personal net worth also climbed to $1,109.4 billion, surpassing the $1.1 trillion mark and making him the first trillionaire in human history.

BREAKING: The Netherlands just told its citizens to go to hell. 36% tax on unrealized gains. Approved. You didn't sell anything. You didn't make a single euro in cash. Your portfolio went up on paper. The government sends you a bill anyway. 61,000 citizens petitioned against it. Parliament approved it anyway. No cash to pay the tax? Not their problem. Asset crashes after you paid? Not their problem. This is not tax policy. This is the government treating your paper gains as their income. Before you've made a single euro. The most talented Dutch investors are already leaving. Capital goes where it is treated best. 2028 is coming. Plan accordingly.
