The Trump admin is dismantling the $368 million deep-ocean observation system. The system monitors coastal environments, marine ecosystems, and powerful currents that affect the global climate. It's been used to understand the effects of climate change on the ocean, how changes in ocean temperature affect fisheries, and monitor coastal flooding. Now it's suddenly being removed. nytimes.com/2026/06/01/clima…

Cities create their own heat. 🌆🌡️ Built surfaces such as asphalt and concrete absorb and store heat during the day, then release it slowly after sunset. Designing cooler, greener, more inclusive cities is now a public health priority.🏙️ ➡️ ow.ly/KR5u50Y0e53 #BeatTheHeat

The planet’s signals are getting louder. So is our response. Around the world, solutions already exist. What's needed now: more speed, more scale. Start a conversation. Shift a policy. Invest in climate solutions. Share a story. Send a signal that moves others. Every action counts #NowForClimateworldenvironmentday.global/2… #WorldEnvironmentDay

Clean energy is meeting rising global demand without the need for dirty fossil fuels. While countries around the world move forward, the Trump administration is holding the U.S. back by delaying permits and issuing stop-work orders to halt clean energy progress.

This is what global warming looks like - taking a routine La Niña drought and supercharging it into record severe drought.
This is unprecedented. 99.8% of the Southeast US is now in drought, obliterating the previous record of 87%. 94% is in severe drought (previous record: 71%). By far the worst drought the region has seen in the 21st century.
