Today’s the day. Introducing my new company, @Agency — backed by @Sequoia and Hubspot Ventures; with my friend and mentor @BHalligan on the Board. Enjoyed getting to talk with @MTemkin @TechCrunch about what we’re building. agency.inc/

Let’s go! Proud of you!
Excited to be part of the team tackling our global efforts and to help spearhead our international investing alongside my partner @astrange! We believe AI is the great equalizer. For the first time, billions of people can access PhD-level intelligence from a phone. Talent is more distributed than ever, and Silicon Valley is ultimately a state of mind. We’re already seeing this shift play out. Great global companies are being born outside the U.S. and scaling faster than ever: ElevenLabs, Black Forest Labs, Mistral, Lovable, Decart, Manus, Sakana, Wonderful, and many others are just the beginning. Our goal is simple: build a bridge between the United States and the world’s best founders, operators, and technologists — and partner with them to win globally. We’ll also continue doubling down on immigrant founders in the U.S. through our Borderless network. Immigrants have founded or co-founded 59% of America’s privately held billion-dollar startups, including companies like SpaceX, OpenAI, Databricks, Stripe, Ramp, Safe Superintelligence, Anysphere, Vercel, and RunwayML. The next generation of category-defining companies will be born anywhere and scale everywhere, and we want to be the partner of choice for the founders building them. If I had a nickel for every founder discovering u *can* work 7d/wk... I love work & can do it anytime. A total workaholic, but it's unsustainable w/o breaks. It never works, ever. Such founders either fail or later post learning to take breaks.

Local agents want to become cloud agents. Cloud agents want to become local agents. We always want what we don’t have.
The terminal hasn’t changed much since the 1970s. What you do with it has. Introducing Devin for Terminal: everything we learned building Devin, now as a local agent, available right in your shell. And when your work outgrows your laptop, hand it off to the cloud.

Boston’s a great place for a second hub for a tech company. Great sales and eng’g talent.
We officially opened Lovable’s first US office in Boston. Boston felt like the right place for us to open an office because Massachusetts has a practical view of AI. It’s about using AI to solve real problems rather than just building the technology, which is something Gov. Maura Healey has spoken about clearly. That’s why we started Lovable, to help more people turn ideas into software, products, companies, and real economic value. PS, check out Gov. Healey rocking our Lovable socks.

It's absolute insanity @Agency. A week ago, we get rid of Cursor. We all switch to Claude Code. Now everyone is switching to Codex. Today Cursor launches Automations.

From San Francisco to São Paulo to London, and from Stockholm to Tel Aviv to Singapore and many more, I’ve been grateful to spend time in these ecosystems be able to build a network where the sun never sets. AI is the great equalizer. Most people now have access to PhD-level intelligence in their pocket, and ultimately, Silicon Valley is a state of mind. The question is: What are you going to do with this opportunity? I’m certain that we will see more default global companies born abroad, and we are building a bridge between their ecosystems and Silicon Valley to help them win! More exciting announcements to come soon techcrunch.com/2026/02/16/ha…

I’m starting to worry about Massachusetts 1. Biotech is way off from a few years ago 2. Only 1 of the top 50 ai companies are in MA 3. The Fed research funding cuts hitting MIT, Harvard, Whoi are brutal. 4. The millionaires tax is working in the short run, but I know a lot of wealthy folks preparing for a FL move. 5. A glut of empty condos 6. It’s not “cool” for young folks 7. It’s expensive as sh-t. I honestly don’t think the MA/Boston govt can do that much about it as they are kind of macro issues. I give them big credit for working on building more housing and fixing the T, which will help. I’m trying to help w HubSpot, partnering w WHOI, teaching at MIT. I’d like to help more. Specifically I’d like to encourage and help more ai and climate companies in the state. I think ai and climate should be our dual growth engines.
