Thank you, @CURADOrg, for empowering youth MSMEs. It is such stories as Winnie Kiiza's inspire a generation of hard-workers that grow the nation. When Ugandan youth are empowered enough to spend their energies building businesses, they will change the fortunes of both their communities and our economy. This is why our collaborative work under the SAYE Project is a change-maker. With other partners i.e. @Heifer_Uganda, @fsduganda, and @AsigmaGroup, we are not only stimulating agribusiness to create employment for youth in Busoga sub-region, we are transforming the economy of Uganda, starting on the foundation. Keep it up. Long live Stimulating Agribusiness for Youth Employment Project (SAYE) #SAYE #MSMEs #Agribusiness #DigitalTransformation #DigitalUganda
As the month comes to an end, we shine a spotlight on Winnie Kiiza as our Entrepreneur of the Month from Mayuge. She supplies quality feeds and chicks, creates jobs, has increased sales, boosts farmer productivity, and has adopted the Kauta app for smart digital record keeping.

One of the key takeaways from #TCForum26 was the shared recognition that sector growth and consumer protection must go hand in hand to drive Uganda’s digital transformation agenda. As Uganda pursues its ambitious growth targets in the communications sector, stakeholders emphasized that sustainable progress will depend on stronger collaboration between government, regulators, telecom operators & consumers. This event comes at an opportune time when the Ugandan private sector - especially SMEs - are eager to grab opportunities in today’s marketplace. MSMEs need a flexible, realistic and reliable environment to operate productively, so fair and accurate measurements enable them to develop their production capacity and trade well. We thank @UNBSug for organizing such an insightful conversation which has allowed the private business community to contribute to the discussion on the role of metrology in strengthening trust in policy making and national development. Trust in policy making is built through such collaborative initiatives.
The commemoration of the World Metrology Day 2026 is underway under the theme: “Metrology: Building Trust in Policy Making.” The event is highlighting the importance of accurate measurements in advancing fairness, consumer protection, innovation and informed policy decisions across all sectors. @UNBSug #OpenGovUg #WorldMetrologyDay2026

We are delighted that Uganda has entered a new paradigm in disaster preparedness and management, with the introduction of the 'MSME resilience and financial protection' component. Last week, we joined stakeholders led by @OPMUganda and @UNDRR at the inception workshop for Prepared for Recovery (P4R) initiative, which aims to strengthen livelihoods, financial protection, and public finance for inclusive and climate-resilient recovery. 🎯Our interest in this initiative is the new focus on enhancing the capacity of MSMEs to not only prevent disasters, but also have resilience to continue business operations in case of occurrences. Represented by our Head of Business Development Services, @KisaakyeJo, FSME led the workshop participants in exploring vulnerabilities which MSMEs face as well as efforts to mitigate risks, scale up recovery readiness, and build resilience to shocks that affect livelihoods, economy and public systems. For bench-marking purposes, we highlighted our continuous work of providing innovative business development services, tools, and advocacy.
