Yesterday in Dubluk, we sat with the community, listening to their voices, hearing their stories, and learning from their lived experiences. From the Child Protection Committee to the CRFM and Beneficiary Selection Committees, one thing was clear: these interventions are locally driven.
Today, together with our Ethiopia Joint Response (EJR) partners;
@soscvethiopia @planethiopia ,
@CordaidEth and
@Hundee, we held a debrief session. We reflected on the lessons learned from the field, shared our insights, and discussed how we can make our work even stronger.
💡 Our biggest takeaway?
When the community is at the centre of every decision, from design to delivery, projects don’t just succeed… they last. 💪🏾
We are proud that our EJR interventions are not imposed, but rather owned; built on trust, participation, and shared responsibility. Together with our partners and the community, we’re not just delivering aid; we’re nurturing resilience, dignity, and lasting change.
