In a bold call to action, the Federal Road Safety Corps has reignited the nationโs consciousness through the 2025 Ember Months Sensitization Campaign! From Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, mni, flagged off the Nationwide Town Hall Meetings; to every State of the Federation and the FCT. Nigerians are reminded that road safety begins with YOU. Drivers, passengers, pedestrians, every action you take on the road can save or take a life. The campaignโs theme, โTake Responsibility for Your Actions โ Stop Distracted Driving,โ isnโt just a slogan; itโs a movement to end preventable crashes and restore discipline to our highways.
The Port Harcourt Town Hall, graced by dignitaries from all walks of life and with the Special Guest of Honour, the Executive Governor of Rivers State ably represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Benibo Ababraka, echoed one clear message: Safety is a collective responsibility. The Corps Marshal and all stakeholders emphasised the need for attitudinal change, urging Nigerians to embrace safer driving culture, support enforcement efforts, and champion responsible road use within their communities. Together, we can transform our roads into safer spaces where every journey ends in peace, not tragedy.
