PR firm Edelman has created a report evaluating AI tools for
#marcom.
They looked at a bunch (including
@muckrack &
@onclusive) and narrowed the list to these five.
The winner?
@quid_official according to Edelman.
I've been covering this tech for ~5 years and have never heard of them (spent countless nights and weekends on this project and easily have written ~100k words or more).
The firm does include a disclosure statement that it uses some of the tools.
However, Quid also has a case study for Edelman on its site
quid.com/customer-story/edelβ¦.
It's the only case study I can find. Edelman did have a partnership with Cision a few years back, but best I can tell it fizzled. Might have been a different exec team if memory serves me.
That doesn't mean they didn't earn it...just a little surprised to see their name here.
Runner-ups, according to Edelman:
2.
@Meltwater
3.
@Talkwalker (who I've excluded from my writing a few years because they are much broader than PR, but they have broad brand recognition in PR)
4.
@SignalAI - I've spoken 1:1 to their CEO for research - a lawyer turned entrepreneur and he has an interesting story about issues management. And they've raised gobs of funding.
5.
@Brandwatch which is one of the umpteen acquisitions made by
@Cision. Cision is, in my view, the undisputed incumbent in the space. However, they have struggled under repeated executive turnover, frothy ownership, new competition and changing market dynamics.
There is a decent chance I'll write about this in-depth soon.
All solution providers included in this study are welcome to send me input.
Those who follow know I always give substantive straight-talk a fair shot ... but have very little patience for grandstanding (which is why, I think PR people looking to buy tech read my stuff).
I don't have an angle yet, as I'm still processing the report in my little brain.
Y'all know how to reach me.
