Illinois Wing sent two aircraft and crews to Battle Creek, MI for Great Lakes Region’s emergency services competition, Gray Flag. Crews were tested on planning, paperwork, and search skills. Lt Col Tod Whitmore called it “intense but fun.” Results later today. #CivilAirPatrol

Armed Forces Day is the day we thank those who are currently serving in the military. Memorial Day is the day we celebrate (and memorialize) those who have died serving in the military. Veteran’s Day is the day we thank those who previously served in the military.
