RIS had the pleasure of hosting students from the Central University of Kerala (@cukeralatweet) for an engaging interactive discussion with our faculty. The visit was part of their internship with the Centre for the Study of the Americas @sisjnu_official @JNU_official_50. Ms. @aparnaray_ifs, Joint Secretary (PP&R), @MEAIndia appreciated RIS's sustained contributions to policy research, international engagement, and South–South cooperation, noting its role in providing intellectual leadership and supporting evidence-based policymaking. Dr. V. Sridhar, @NDDB_Coop, Anand, highlighted India’s dairy cooperative model as a successful framework for enhancing rural incomes, women’s empowerment, and food security. He also noted that NDDB has signed MoUs with Kenya, Nigeria, and Rwanda to share India’s dairy cooperative experience. Dr. Prabhakar, Director, @atari_icar, highlighted NICRA’s contribution to building adaptive agricultural systems and improving farmers’ preparedness for climate risks. Drawing on NICRA’s experience, he underlined the significant potential for India–Africa collaboration in climate-smart agriculture, capacity building, and knowledge sharing. Dr. H. S. Sidhu, Member, International Conservation Agriculture Advisory Panel for Africa, noted that demonstration sites, custom hiring models, and scale-appropriate technologies can accelerate the adoption of sustainable farming practices across the continent.
