Thousands upon thousands of Nigerian youths converged on the nation’s capital in what many participants described as a first-of-its-kind gathering. It was vibrant without descending into chaos. Massive, yet meticulously organised. Diverse in attendance, but united in purpose. From the mobilisation retreat that preceded the festival to the final moments of the day’s celebrations, every aspect of the programme reflected careful planning, discipline and an uncommon attention to detail. The execution raised eyebrows for all the right reasons. In a country where expectations around large public events are often tempered by experience, the Renewed Hope Youth Festival offered a refreshing alternative. The programme delivery was seamless. Security arrangements were coordinated. The atmosphere remained festive and orderly. Cultural performances blended effortlessly with conversations on leadership, enterprise, creativity and nation-building. Young people did not merely attend; they participated. They engaged. They connected. Renewed Hope Global believes that, through this festival, Dr Mustapha Abdullahi has set a new benchmark for youth-focused event delivery in Nigeria. His leadership, organisational dexterity and ability to mobilise thousands of young Nigerians around a shared national vision deserve recognition. Yesterday, I was honoured to join the Director-General of Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, H.E. Governor @Hope_Uzodimma1, alongside the Deputy Director-General, H.E. Governor Uba Sani, the Secretary of RHA, H.E. Governor Inuwa Yahaya, Deputy Secretary Hon. James Faleke, Directors, Zonal Coordinators, and other RHA leaders at Transcorp Hilton Abuja. During the meeting, I presented my vision as Director of the Youth Directorate, emphasizing the critical role of young Nigerians in strengthening grassroots engagement and building an inclusive mobilisation structure ahead of 2027. I highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for youth participation, leadership development, and meaningful engagement across communities and campuses nationwide.
