We both know that's not true. We gave away Daedalus and many other projects. Next year, the Haskell node is spinning out of IOG. We pushed the node diversity workshop and project blueprint and supported third-party developers. Once Leios is out, the goal is 100 percent community-driven infrastructure with IOG offering OSS FTEs to the projects

CARDANO V11 VAN ROSSEM HARD FORK GOES LIVE ON PREVIEW TESTNET π±π±
The V11 upgrade is now active on Preview, with PreProd awaiting ratification and a mainnet governance vote targeted for May 29.
The hard fork is expected to make smart contracts faster and cheaper, introduce stronger cryptography, and improve stake pool security across the network.

Friendly reminder that babel fees have already been implemented for 1 years on @FluidTokens Aquarium.
And yes, they are open source, anybody can use them and they are audited.
The only fair alternative to Aquarium are off-chain Babel fees implementable with nested transactions.
Please stop giving treasury money for already available solutions!

@MLabs10 wants to open-source and harden FeesaSwap, a live mainnet system that lets users pay fees in supported non-ADA tokens while ADA and collateral are handled behind the scenes.
The upside: this attacks real UX friction.
The concern: FeesaSwap already received Catalyst funding, so this needs to clearly deliver public infrastructure, not just product maintenance.
Worth funding, or should wallets solve this themselves?

Cardano (ADA) has now been formally detailed by the SEC as a digital commodity, not a security today.
It is written directly into the Commissionβs latest interpretive release. (Released Today)
A digital commodity is an asset that derives its value from the programmatic operation of a functional crypto system, not from the expectation of profits driven by the efforts of others.
ADA is listed alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum under that classification.

I really love that an OG like Sandstone pool made a rust implementation but this deserves visability as well. I choose to write about amaru for a reason on medium, as well as joining pragma on my free time that is atm quite limited. This deserves to be be understood by community.
We've found a few already; reported to and discussed with the Haskell team. Yet for each discrepancy you have a decision to make: do you amend the spec or the implementation?
It's not always straightforward which one to chose. That's why we have the node diversity workshops.
