A significant step towards a cleaner Ganga was achieved today with the signing of the Quadripartite Escrow Agreement for pollution abatement works in Kolkata's Garden Reach Municipality, West Bengal.
The project, focused on I&D and STP works, aims to ensure cleaner waters for Ganga and includes a 15-year O&M period under the HAM Model. The agreement was signed between NMCG, Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), M/s. GR Sewage Treatment Plant Pvt. Ltd. and IDBI Bank. Key signatories included Shri Amitava Pal, DG, TP&DD, KMC, Shri Sohom Guha, Director, M/s. Traders & Engineers Pvt. Ltd., Shri Jitendra Pal Singh Yadav, GGM, IDBI Bank, and Shri Binod Kumar, Director (Projects), NMCG.
