Peter Kyle has been the Labour MP for Hove and Portslade (East Sussex) since 2015 and is currently the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology.
Peter was a protégé of Body Shop founder the late Anita Roddick. She is described as having been a ‘pivotal mentor to Peter Kyle’. Both were involved in a charity initiative in the setting up of Romanian orphanages in the 1990s where ‘Roddick gave Kyle a job specifically focused on vulnerable orphans’.
Peter held senior positions while Labour was in opposition.
Peter is also a member, Parliamentary ‘officer’ and former Vice Chair of the lobby organisation Labour Friends of Israel.
Peter was a prominent critic of Jeremy Corbyn when he was leader of The Labour Party.
Journalist Greg Hadfield has described Peter ‘Kyle’s pivotal role in hounding Jeremy Corbyn’ and all Labour councillors in the Brighton and Hove area who supported Corbyn.
The extent of Peter Kyle’s ruthless control of politics in Brighton and Hove has been detailed by Greg Hadfield, as well as his connections to, among others, Ivor Caplin, Lord Matthew Doyle, Luke Stanger, Sean Morton, Liron Velleman and Peter Mandelson in an article entitled: ‘Caplin, Mandelson and Doyle: Three coincidental friends of Peter Kyle’ - an article that really does expose a labyrinth of dodgy connections in Peter Kyle’s Brighton and Hove empire.

With his approx £170,000 salary, expenses, allowances, shareholdings, donations and perks, Peter has thrived in the years that he’s been an MP.
And as an MP, Peter initially voted to retain the two-child benefit cap, voted to scrap the winter fuel payment to pensioners, voted for the welfare changes that will impact people who are disabled and unwell, voted against an inquiry into grooming gangs and voted to restrict trials by jury.
