🛰Check out the eddy spinning south of Point Reyes. We tend to see a lot of eddies along our coastline due to our complex terrain and prevailing wind flow. One of the more prominent eddies is the "Otter Eddy", which occurs in Monterey Bay. #cawx @weatherdak #remotesensing

[Update] A significant winter storm will impact the Central Rockies/central High Plains this weekend, bringing as much as 1 to 3 feet of snow. Strong winds/heavy wet snow will result in difficult to impossible travel conditions, scattered power outages, and impacts to livestock.

Next week, most of the USA is expected to have normal to above-normal temps and normal to below-normal precip chances, according to @NOAA’s @NWSCPC.
