PETA India is grateful to the Goa Forest Department
@goaforests for their timely action in seizing the turtle and freeing them from a life of pain and captivity. The turtle is now in the custody of the Forest Department, and further legal action is being initiated against the shop owner for the illegal possession of wildlife.
Thanks to the vigilant reporter who acted as an animal ally, whose compassion made this rescue possible. If you witness cruelty or illegal wildlife captivity, please don’t stay silent; report it to PETA India at info@petaindia.org, call 98201 22602, or reach out to a local animal welfare organisation.
