Two Stages. One Mission – A defining moment for India’s Deep Tech journey. Nasscom Future Forge & Tech Developer Confluence 2025 brought together the boldest minds, visionaries, technologists, investors, developers, and policymakers to shape what’s next. The momentum was undeniable - over 3,000 delegates attended across both events, with 1,421 at Future Forge and 1,628 at Tech Developer Confluence. We curated 138 enterprise connect meetings between 23 corporates and 28 startups and enabled 210 investor meetings connecting 28 investors with 45 startups . A strong focus on skilling was reflected in 12 masterclasses and workshops, while 5 industry roundtables sparked deep collaborative dialogue. The Innovator’s Hub saw 36 startups showcasing breakthrough technologies, and the Hackathon brought in 10,974 registrations with 670 idea submissions from Availity and 950 from Gnani . We also featured 21 student showcases from universities and engaged 225 unique DeepTech startups across the platform. The 14th edition of the Emerge 50 Awards honoured India’s most promising emerging DeepTech ventures, alongside the launch of strategic reports and insights for the ecosystem. At #NasscomFutureForge 2025, Pramod Varma shares how not knowing anything about payments became his biggest advantage in designing UPI. With no baggage from the banking world, he approached the problem with first-principles thinking: “If WhatsApp messages can be instant, why can’t ₹1 be sent just as easily?” That mindset led to UPI, a system designed on just two APIs and less than two pages, now used by over a billion people. But the core lesson wasn’t just about tech. It was about mindset. - Embrace discomfort. Innovation begins when you feel out of place. - Build “necessary but not sufficient” infrastructure. UPI didn’t solve everything, but without it, nothing was possible. - Keep systems open. True impact comes when others can build on top of what you create. India’s digital story isn’t about private IP.
