Focus Verse: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28
Scholars, this too shall pass. No matter where you are in your PhD journey, I want you to know that you are doing a great job. Every late night, every revision, every sacrifice, and every tear is building something greater than you can see right now.
This week, I challenge you to focus on three areas that will strengthen both your manuscript and your mindset:
✔️ Create a timeline for your PhD journey
Build your roadmap and create SMART-M goals (Strategic, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Transformative Milestones) to maintain momentum.
✔️ Draft your problem statement
Define what is known, identify the gap in the literature, and justify why your study matters. Your Problem Statement, Purpose Statement, and Research Questions must align.
✔️ Identify your inner circle
Choose people who will hold you accountable, encourage you, pray with you, and help you stay focused throughout this journey.
Remember: This process is a marathon, not a sprint. Always, fill up your cup, and when it’s about to be empty you refill it. Also, protect your time and guard your thoughts it will help you keep perspective and insight. Trust your battle rhythm, it is designed as your blueprint. It keeps moving one page at a time.
Overtime, you can developed a well tuned up rhythm that is align and synchronize with your workflow.
Honor the struggles. Trust the process. Finish strong.
💛 Small wins today. Big impact tomorrow.
