Collective Efforts Key to District Development: Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha

@Collector_JGN Sandeep Kumar Jha said district development is possible only through the joint efforts of officials, public representatives, and citizens.
As part of the 99-day Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika programme, a district-level meeting was held at the Integrated Collectorate Conference Hall in Jangaon. The programme was attended by DCP Raja Mahendra Nayak, Additional Collector Benshalom, Municipal Chairperson Kadakanchi Balamani, and DCC President Lakavath Dhanvanthi.
The Collector said the programme aims to improve public services, create awareness on welfare schemes, identify local needs, and prepare future development plans with public participation. He stressed that people are at the center of governance and urged citizens to freely share their concerns.
Highlighting key welfare initiatives, he said:
✅ ₹152 crore released to 1.85 lakh farmers under Rythu Bharosa
✅ 97,157 beneficiaries receiving 200 units of free electricity under Gruha Jyothi
✅ 5,652 Indiramma Houses sanctioned, with 94% grounding completed
✅ ₹18.9 crore pensions distributed monthly to 74,993 beneficiaries
✅ Women empowered through Mahalakshmi, Indira Mahila Shakti, and interest-free loans
The Collector also said the government is focusing on education, crop diversification, youth development, sports, and sustainable agriculture.
During the meeting, citizens and public representatives raised issues related to roads, school infrastructure, Anganwadi centers, transformers, and drinking water facilities. The Collector directed officials to take immediate action on pending issues.
Dignitaries later visited departmental stalls showcasing welfare and development initiatives.
